How to Activate an eSIM: Step-by-Step Guide

Activating an eSIM is a fast process, but it requires following the correct order of steps. This guide walks you through activating your digital SIM on both Apple iPhone (iOS) and Android devices.

Step 1: Check your Connection

Before attempting to install or activate an eSIM, ensure that your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. The installation requires downloading cellular profile data from the carrier's servers, which cannot be done over mobile data if your physical SIM is turned off.

Step 2: Scan the QR Code

On Apple iOS (iPhone):

1. Open your phone's Settings and tap Cellular.
2. Tap Add eSIM or Set Up Cellular.
3. Choose Use QR Code and scan the QR code provided by your eSIM carrier.
4. Follow the prompts to label your plans (e.g. Primary for home, Travel for your eSIM).

On Android (Samsung / Google Pixel):

1. Open Settings and tap Connections or Network & internet.
2. Tap SIM manager or Mobile network, then select Add eSIM or the '+' icon.
